NNRH will be performing night work starting 4/13 thru 4/17, and again 4/20 thru 4/25. In coordination with City and Regional Transit at the intersection of 7th and O street, starting on 4/14, 4/15, 4/17 & 4/18 from 10:30 PM through 3:30 AM, this work requires turning off power to the light rail system on O Street and is scheduled at night in order not to impact service. This work will have significant noise associated with driving piles to install a SMUD vault.

Turner Construction is hosting a final Outreach Event for the trade packages listed below relative to the New Natural Resources Headquarters Building Project in Downtown Sacramento. Project Engineers and Managers overseeing these packages will be present to meet you.

We are looking for DGS certified SB and DVBE firms to bid direct to Turner. All subcontractors must be pre-qualified to submit a proposal. THE DUE DATE FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION PACKAGES IS at Tuesday, August 27, 2019 close of business. ONLY PRE-QUALIFIED SUBCONTRACTORS PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Pre-qualification packages may be requested from Tiffany McAvoy.

The overall project has a 25% SBE and 3% DVBE requirement.

Project Description and Schedule: Turner is procuring over the next few months the balance of all packages for the New Natural Resources Headquarters in downtown Sacramento. This is a $520 million design build project that is currently under construction with structural steel now being erected and approximately half way to the 21st floor. Please see below for all packages currently bidding. Project is scheduled to be complete 3rd quarter of 2021.

Questions During Bidding: Direct all questions during bidding to Turner Construction via email to Brandon Valdez. Deadline to submit RFIs is August 27, 2019 at 5:00pm.

Prevailing Wages: The Contractor agrees to comply with all provisions of California Labor Code Sections 1771, 1775, 1776, 1777.5, 1813, and 1815

DVBE and SBE Requirements: Full participation by each prime and sub-tier is required. Proposals that address DVBE and SBE participation will be given special consideration.

Project Labor Agreement: There is a Project Labor Agreement on this project. All bidders must agree to this agreement.

Community Workforce Agreement: All contractors are to ensure apprentices complete AT LEAST 20% of the total work hours. All contractors are to ensure that AT LEAST 25% of the apprentice hours are completed by Targeted Workers. Targeted Workers are those persons that are residents of California and are either Veterans, have a criminal record or other involvement with the criminal justice system, persons receiving public assistance, persons emancipated from the foster care system, or women interested in joining the trades.

2/26/19 Road Closures for Crane Delivery and Activities
  • Weekend of April 5th-7th: We will be taking delivery and erection of our crane, so 8th Street will be closed between Q Street and O Street.
  • Ongoing: Steel deliveries on O Street (entering the site via 8th Street and exiting via 7th Street).
  • Weekend of July 26th-28th: The crane will be retooled - 8th Street will be closed once again between Q Street and O Street.
  • End of October: Steel erection complete.
  • November: Crane will be moving HVAC equipment to the roof.
  • January 2020:Crane will be leaving the site.
